Home Rose & Crown location

Visit To Kew Sat 8th April 29Mar2006

The general idea is to meet for lunch at the Rose & Crown (79 Kew Green, TW9 3AH, at red circle on the map) at around 12.00 noon. This is one of the Chef & Brewer chain and does a range of bar snacks, light meals and full blown lunches.

After lunch we will split into two groups; one visiting Kew Gardens, the other the Steam Museum. Both are an easy walk from the pub.

We have a number of free tickets for the Gardens which will help keep the cost of entry down. If 10 people go the cost will be approx £5.00. Entrance to the Steam Museum is £6.50 (OAPs £5.50, children free).

Parking in the area is difficult and the best bet is probably to use the Kew Gardens car park, accessed from Ferry Lane. If using public transport, note that the District Line and Network Rail services to Kew Gardens will be suspended. Kew Bridge (NR) remains open.
