25 April Committee Meeting 19:30 by Zoom.

On Saturday 23 April, commencing at 7:30pm we will be holding a quiz night, devised and hosted by Colin Lea. Rodger Wheeler will be providing an Indian takeaway supper (I am advised this will be mild in case you’re worried by the thought of hot ones). The cost (per head) is a very reasonable £5.00. For catering purposes Rodger does need to know how many people would like to come to the club on the 23rd. So if a quiz night and curry  is your thing please contact Rodger on 020 897 97254 or email him at aqsc@wheeler.me.uk and let him know (BY THURSDAY 21st April) how many will be in your party. The money will be collected on the night. Colin’s quizzes are challenging and fun and I look forward to welcoming you all to the club on Saturday night. Mike Baker

10 January We are planning to hold the first committee meeting of the year at 19:30 by Zoom, NOT at the club due to Omicron.

Sunday 2nd January Only at Aquarius - New Year's Day sailing, No, the club has not slipped through a mini time warp, but rather in the light of current Omicron levels we have decided to switch this event to Sunday the 2nd and run along the same lines as the last few Sunday sailing events, namely arrive circa 12:00, launch and start back to back races from 13:00, followed by tea and cakes at 15:00, leaving enough time for hauling out and putting away boats before it gets dark. We prefer to have participants sitting out on the quarter deck tempering intimacy with social distancing and respecting the exercise of discretion by others.  Mike Hendra has agreed to man the bar and supply the cakes and beverages, while Nigel will organise the sailing side.
