05 January There is a strong stream and the river is yellow boarded so there will be no sailing. We had an excellent New Years Day lunch and tea but having spoken to a number of members, I have not found anyone who intends to be at the club tomorrow or anyone who is available to run the bar. We have therefore taken the decision that there will be no bar or tea service tomorrow but members are welcome to go to the club. Rodger

01 January (Wed) We had hoped to work off the excesses of the festive season with a quick sail on New Year's Day (the Club boats are newly licensed in preparation!) but sadly, the weather gods seem to have it in for us! The forecast for Wednesday is for rain and strong gusty winds – so a cold, wet but sporty sail for anyone wishing to brave it! No racing will be arranged, however  the CLUB WILL BE OPEN AS PLANNED and the POT LUCK LUNCH WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM 13.00 with TEA & CAKES from 15.00

Pot Luck Lunch Menu
     Hearty Cheats chicken soup
Jacket potato with choice of fillings
(chilli beef, tuna mayo, cheese, baked beans)
Bread & butter pudding (custard or cream)
            £4  payable on the day
Booking is not essential but to be assured of something to eat please reply to the email by Tuesday 14.00.

Regular Sunday afternoon activities - Sailing (if possible), the bar and afternnon teas will recommence on Sunday 5th January.

01 January (Wed) On NEW YEARS DAY there will be a race at noon, if conditions permit, followed by a Pot Luck Lunch and afternoon tea.
