Burns Nicht at Aquarius -

Anyway we enjoyed a very entertaining evening with good food and convivial company and all for £8.00 with a dram thrown in. Who said AQSC was a sailing club?

So A Toast!
Here's tae us
Wha's like us
Damn few,
And they're a' deid
Mair's the pity!

Video by Gordon Courtney, 3 minutes.

Burns Nicht was our Club’s first attempt to return to some semblance of social normality, at least Aquarius style.

Rodger was the driving force with a small band of volunteers helping to make the evening a big success for 18 members. With respect and thanks for Rodger’s quiet team members.

Burns Nicht allows one Alastair Gray to take centre stage as the half mad bag piping, knife wielding slayer of the Haggis. I think in his performance, Alastair plays parts of all the characters of Macbeth in a way that has all the skill one would expect from Sir Laurence Olivier. In his fluid use of the now almost hardly ever spoken, Gailish (a regional dialect once associated with heavy whisky drinking) we experience the use of language many of us must envy.
