The seasonal menu included, vegetable soup with bread. Roast chicken, gravy, roast vegetables, roast and new potatoes, peas, carrots, stuffing, sausages wrapped in bacon, and not forgetting the cranberry sauce!
This was followed by a choice of Christmas pudding or mince pies, both accompanied by brandy sauce and custard.
Those members with a little remaining tummy room were offered a selection cheeses with biscuits, dried fruit and grapes followed by coffee and chocolates.
This wonderful festive lunch was prepared and served by Deborah and Colin Lea, ably assisted by Nigel Knowles and Alice.
Throughout lunch Colin also found the time to present us with various brain stretching quizzes, this was followed by the now infamous Jenga wobbly wooden tower!
A lovely lunch full of Christmas cheer, enjoyed in good company!
