The Mid-Thames Trophy event takes place at Desborough Sailing Club on Bank Holiday Monday 6 June 2002. All members are invited. The first START is at 11:00. Please see the Notice of Race on the notice board for further details.
Desborough Sailing Club is opposite Shepperton Church Square and off Ferry Lane (1st on left after Church Square)
It is an inter club event, not a Team Race, with the emphasis on being FUN. We can enter up to 15 boats!! Single handed sailing in two handed boats is allowed with the handicap adjusted by -42 (equivalent to -4 on our system).
In each race the top 3 to 5 boats for a club count towards the Trophy, there should be 3 races with all races counting. This means that helm can do as many or few races as they like and can swap helm and crew.
There should be at least 6 boats going; if any one else expects to enter please let know as soon as possible.
If members without road trailers wish to take part Bryan Clements will be towing boats up by the safety boat on Sunday 5th May, leaving at 1:00 pm. It will be necessary to de-rig for the tow and it is essential to display a current river licence to go through the lock.
