The Annual Warning

It’s getting toward dinghy laying up time again. You know what I’m going to say … take some time to properly winterise, store and picket your dinghy if you don’t want to come back to problems in the spring.

Remove the sails and all loose equipment. Laser should be rolled over to stop the cockpits and more importantly the mast step apertures filling up with water; and don’t forget to remove the drainage bungs. You’d be amazed how many people forget this simplest of winterisation tasks. A decent boat cover is also essential but some along our waterfront are obviously well past their useful lives. So there you are … take care of your dinghy and it will hopefully take care of you.

Cheats Christmas Lunch
11 December

I don’t know at present who is organising this one but these lunches have proved very popular in the past so again, early booking is advised. Watch out for advertising via flyers, email and our website.
