Easter Egg Trophy |

This year's Easter Egg Trophy was the first race of the season and actually sailed on Easter Sunday. Prior to the first race there was the usual scramble to find equipment, get the dinghies out of 'mothballs' and chase out the spiders. Richard Cannon was OOD, ably assisted by Pat Irving in the box and Laurie Bridges in the patrol boat. |

Four races were scheduled starting at 11:30, with three to count. The weather was fine with a fairly steady light NE wind. |

In typical Aquarius fashion only 4 people made the line for the first race. Hell! We have more people than that in the bar on a Wednesday night. |

Patrol Boat Service |
|
The Aquarius safety boat had her annual service on 9 March down at Tim Barfield's. Impellors, filters and oil were all changed and a new water filter inlet pipe was fitted. The old one had a habit of kinking and restricting the amount of cooling water being pumped into the engine. Hopefully she should now be as reliable as she proved to be last year. |
