Chinese Takeaway & Quiz Night 21 May 2005

Unfortunately I couldn't attend this event; however I did set some quiz questions and left them with Rodger Wheeler to torment you with on the night. I trust you found them challenging because easy is no fun! I'm hoping someone did a write-up, or is that too much to hope for?

River House Barn Concert

Pat Halling and his quartet, Pro Musica staged another concert at the Riverside Barn at Walton on Sunday 20 March. This time they were joined by Colin Bradbury who is the principal clarinet in the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Pro Musica played various pieces including Dvorak's string quartet in F Major and Mozart's clarinet quintet.

I was amazed how many AQSC members attended; Pat must have been really pleased. There's something very special about listening to live music of that quality, I just wish I had the gene that would enable me to play a musical instrument. Well, there's no harm in wishing and in the meantime I'll keep going to Pat's concerts.
