This year’s annual club dinner was held on 16 October at the IL CAPRICCIO restaurant in Ewell Village. As the name implies IL CAPRICCIO specializes in mainly Italian food but has something for all tastes. I think some thirty-
The restaurant’s weekday menu provided a wide and varied choice of starters and main courses. The waiters were quick and efficient and by 8:00pm most orders had been taken and the first courses were being served. From what I could see sardines, prawns and mussels seemed to be in great demand.
There was such a variety of main courses, everybody seemed to be having something different but the one thing everybody agreed on was the generous size of the portions. In fact one or two people thought them too big, but there you go, you can’t please everybody all the time.
Dessert and coffee orders were then taken and by 10:30pm some people started to drift away. Now I’m biased because IL CAPRICCIO is one of my local restaurants but I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and on behalf of everybody I would like to thank Rodger for organizing the evening and Diana & Graham for handling the bookings. Well done guys!
