About Us - Learning to Sail
The Club can help new and less experienced members with learning to sail to the point when they can take a club dinghy out on their own. These activities usually take place on Sundays and Wednesdays afternoons/evening, during the summer, under the supervision of experienced helms.
Note: AQSC is not a RYA Training Centre.
There is no charge for showing members how to sail and club dinghies together with buoyancy aids can be used.
New members are also encouraged to crew for experienced helms during racing as an additional way of learning about boat handling and race tactics.
