Problem with pop up menus; only use menus in this column
On 7 February our Sunday Ladies lunch was a great success for those who attended (12 in total). The only fly in the ointment was finding a parking spot but with patience, we all managed to find a spot near the Leisure Centre and it was free!!
Al Forno has a very nice atmosphere, and the service was good. The food was also well presented and tasty, the portions being a good size but not too large. My choice was lamb steak in wine sauce with roast potatoes and steamed veg, followed by a hot chocolate mousse with vanilla ice cream. I leave you to guess who was the only one of our party to indulge in three courses.
Conversation was lively, and I presented the assembled company with a Dingbats quiz. After much puzzling over the answers, Helen Barnett won first prize of a valentine mug, with Anne Bond and Graham Thompson coming in second and third.
