Open Bosun Dinghy Regatta

Tony Hopkins noticed that on the weekend of 4-5 of October this event was being held at the Royal Navy Sailing Centre at Portsmouth and boats could be provided; it was added to the program of events.

Tony Hopkins with John Neale and Frank Rainsborough with Jim Lowden from QMSC entered.

Four races were scheduled Saturday and two on Sunday but unfortunately it was very windy, 20 to 30 knts, and only the the first two races were held.

There were 28 Entries and our members did well for Frank to come 7th and Tony 14th.

Sailing Beyond The
End of Season

The last scheduled racing for this year is on the 9 November but if the weather and river conditions are suitable for sailing then safety boat cover will be provided beyond this date. Members will be informed of intentions by e-mail.
