Work Party on
Saturday 4 October

These days are absolutely vital to stay on top of the huge amount of ground work and external maintenance that seems to pile up each year.

Despite being hard and sometimes dirty work they are always well attended and 4 October was no exception. Some twenty-five people turned up to paint, strim, weed and clear brambles. Joan and George supplied an excellent lunch, Chicken a la King, Macaroni Cheese and Apple Pie with Ice-cream as I recall. Stuart did an outstanding job of clearing up after lunch.

To everybody who turned up, too many to name but you know who you were, can I offer you all a big 'thank you' on behalf of the Management Committee. Your efforts were much appreciated and the club now looks so much better for its external spruce up.

Penalty Turns

Richard Cannon

It has been reported to me that some helm are doing their penalty turns a long time after the incident. The rules make statements like ‘as soon as possible’ and ‘promptly’. Not wait until it is convenient.
