MURDER AT AQUARIUS |
It was with slight trepidation and murder on our minds that twenty brave souls appeared at The Aquarius sailing Clubs Murder Mystery evening on Saturday 10th June. Madeline and myself (Janet) organised the group into two, one of twelve the other of eight. |
The scenes were set, the larger group were to attempt to discover who killed "Lord Gettiesjust-Desserts"‚ at the Manor. The smaller group were apparently all at sea on the SS Titania on her maiden voyage, and indeed had to try to discover who killed the Captain who had been found murdered in his cabin. |
What followed will, I feel, remain firmly in our minds for sometime to come as a very happy evening, even though we were all guilty of some things we would rather not talk about! |
We were all of course a character in the plot and it took a little time to become that person, with all the human faults known to man! Some of us slipped into these suspicious people quicker than others. As each round of the games were played out, various facts became apparent, and from this we were supposed to deduce who committed the murder. |
Of course we all had a good motive for killing, money seemed to come into the plot quite often. There were red herrings and affairs of the heart to add to the confusion that eventually dissolved the group at the Manor into much laughter. I am unable to give to much away because I feel sure another Murder Mystery evening will again be held at the club. |
We stopped half way through the night and enjoyed a super supper prepared by Madeline. I bought some cakes which also appeared to go down well. Thanks Madeline. Eventually we completed the games and each of us took an educated guess as to who committed the dastardly crime of murder. The murderers then came forward and were hanged at dawn (only joking). Of course then there were conversations of who was where and when and with whom! |
So it was the evening completed and around midnight we said our farewells, a good night was had by all I hope and here's to the next one. |
