Out and About

Here's a couple of eating and watering holes that you might like to try.

First there's The Grumpy Mole restaurant at Tadworth. It has a great menu but book well in advance. Formally this was The Inn on the Green but it changed its name about a year ago, refurbished and hasn't looked back since.

Second is The Sportsman pub at Mogador. This has some great countryside walks on the doorstep as it sits on the edge of Walton Heath, Lower Kingswood. The pub was built in 1532, has good beer, a varied menu and very pleasant restaurant.

Apologies

The AQSC General Management Committee has asked me to apologise to those people who arrived late for the Hog Roast on Saturday night and couldn't get in. Apparently they had phoned the club from the outer gate because they didn't know the combination, but due to the music and general noise in the clubhouse nobody heard the phone ringing. Our sincere apologies and we will endeavour to get the new intercom installed at the outer gate as soon as possible so this, hopefully, cannot happen again.
