Ash Wednesday Pancakes

Shrove Tuesday !! so we were a day late, but we are trying to spice up Wednesday evenings. Some 30 pancakes were cooked and tossed - OK two folded a bit as they dropped back in the pan - but all in a good cause. The pancakes were free but donations were requested and a cheque will be winging it's way to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

We intend to have a "special" Wednesday evening each month so watch out for details.

Last Wednesday Evening Before Christmas

A few of us usually gather at the club every Wednesday evening to put the world right over a couple of pints and Pete’s excellent coffee. Before this last evening of the year Nigel, who was on bar duty, put out a notice inviting everybody for mulled wine and nibbles. By the end of the evening fifteen people had turned up. The wine flowed and the savouries and mince pies went down a treat. A great start to the festive season and many thanks to Nigel for organising it.
