Work Party

27 November was thought a little late in the year for a work party but the usual staunch crew turned up to strim, cut and clear their way along the riverbank and down (or up) the drive between the main gate and the car park. The weather was exceptionally good. Cold but with bright sunshine.

Things got underway at 10:30am with two teams working the above tasks. The bank team were also tasked with turning the Lasers and Pico’s over in preparation for the winter. A third team worked on the bund between the clubhouse and the ramp, clearing the concrete gutter at the back of the club and clearing the starter hut. A fourth team kept the tea and coffee coming and prepared lunch which was scheduled for 3:00pm so as to not interfere with the work before it got dark.

Many thanks to all the following for their sterling work. Nice one guys (and gals):-

Liz Archer, Ken Ayres, Mike Baker, George & Joan Bray, Laurie Bridges, Eric Bridgewater, Richard Cannon, Diana & Peter Carpenter, Bryan Clements, Gordon & Joan Courtney, David Grigg, Trudy Hilton T, Mike & Jean Hendra, Nigel Knowles, John Neale, Keith & Gail Poncia, Arthur Sykes, Graham Thompson, John Tomkins, Joan Walkden and Rodger Wheeler.
