Introduction

I trust you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Firstly, my thanks to Mike Hendra for his contributions to the last newsletter. His articles on the G&S night and the 60’s evening were both incisive and humorous. If I ever get out of writing stuff for ‘The Mainsheet’ I think Mike would make an excellent replacement. His idea for a club flotilla sailing holiday in Turkey would certainly make a change from the river & Bewl (and a lot warmer) AND make a terrific story for ‘The Mainsheet’; anybody thinking of booking up please note.

Secondly my personal thanks also go to those of you who completed and returned the club questionnaire. I should add that your returns represented 43% of the 77 questionnaires sent out. I think it also says something about members and their participation..

Thirdly my thanks go to Richard Cannon who somehow, several times a year, manages to pack my ramblings into ‘The Mainsheet’ and get it distributed.
