The Commodore writes

Well the start of the sailing season is nearly here and let's hope we have a good one. Hopefully you will find the reach a bit kinder when close to the opposite bank as Bodgit and Co ((Arboreal branch), sorry about the pun) have been busy severely trimming back the foliage. We shouldn't see anymore sails stuck in foliage.

A couple of years ago I sailed a Comet event at Mudeford, what a lovely place to sail it was. We are planning a club trip there this year for Mudeford sailing week, the event runs from Saturday the 30th of July to Friday the 5th of August. We don't plan to attend for the whole period; maybe just a long weekend, this depends on response from club members.

The sailing takes place within the harbour which is fairly shallow as you can stand up in most places so is ideal for youngsters.

Please take a look at the Mudeford website. ww.mudefordsc.org/html/mudeford_wee k.html

Great Sailing
