The Internet - Richard Cannon

The Aquarius Web site (aquarius.sc.ukgateway.net, E-mail aquarius.sc@ukgateway.net) has been improved; it is targeted as an additional communications channel for members.

Some of the items included are:- a news home page, sailing and social program, latest race duty roster, bar duty roster, race results, summer news letter, links to other sailing sites, Club details. Normally it is updated at least weekly and a Sunday's race results should be available by the following Tuesday.

About 24 of our members have access to E-mail and it is a very quick, easy and cheap way to distribute information. A downside is that members who visit the web site will already have seen a number of articles in this newsletter.

If anyone has problems with the web site, or has E-mail and haven’t received an E-mail from Richard, would they please let Richard know by phone (01932 786636) or by E-mail (richard@cannonr.freeserve.co.uk).

I would also welcome suggestions for improvements to the Web site and extending it to improve Marketing Aquarius Sailing Club. Changes will need to be within my time and facility constraints.
